Cantiere delle Marche is pleased to announce the successful sale of M/Y Presence, an Acciaio 130 explorer yacht, marking another significant step in the shipyard’s steadily expanding pre-owned yacht activity. The transaction was concluded in close collaboration with Simon Goldsworthy of Edmiston, one of the world’s most respected yacht brokerage firms.
This deal represents CDM’s fourth pre-owned transaction in the past six months, following the sales of Aurelia (Flexplorer 130), Storm (Darwin 107), and Narvalo (Nauta Air 108). Together, these transactions highlight not only the strong demand for CDM explorer yachts but also the enduring confidence that leading brokerage houses and their clients place in the shipyard.
What makes CDM particularly distinctive in the pre-owned market is the level of expertise it contributes to every resale. As the original builder, the shipyard holds an in-depth understanding of each yacht it produces—from structural engineering and onboard systems to construction details and operational history. When a CDM yacht re-enters the brokerage market, both buyers and sellers benefit from this unique knowledge, which allows transactions to proceed with exceptional transparency and technical clarity.
For brokerage professionals, this translates into a clear advantage: direct access to the shipyard’s engineering know-how and technical documentation. The result is a smoother due diligence process, faster resolution of technical questions and greater confidence for all parties involved. This collaborative approach—combining the broker’s market expertise with CDM’s technical insight—continues to make these transactions efficient and rewarding.
The growing activity in CDM’s pre-owned segment also reflects the strong market positioning of the shipyard’s explorer yachts. Designed for long-range capability, reliability and autonomy, these vessels increasingly attract experienced owners seeking yachts that combine luxury with true cruising potential. In this context, CDM yachts have built a reputation not only for their engineering integrity and seaworthiness, but also for their ability to retain value over time.
Thanks to limited production, robust construction standards and the shipyard’s long-term technical support, CDM yachts tend to perform particularly well on the brokerage market. For owners, this creates a compelling ownership proposition: beyond the pleasure of exploring the world aboard a capable and beautifully crafted yacht, CDM vessels represent solid long-term assets whose resale performance remains consistently strong. This combination of exploration capability and financial reassurance is increasingly recognized as one of the defining strengths of the brand.
“We are proud to have supported Simon Goldsworthy and the Edmiston team in bringing this transaction to a successful conclusion,” says Carlo Aquilanti of CDM’s pre-owned department. “Every pre-owned sale reflects the trust that brokers and owners place not only in our yachts, but also in the expertise of our team. Preserving that trust is something we work hard to earn every day. We welcome the new owner of Presence to the growing community of CDM owners,” adds Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and CEO of CDM. “Our clients share a passion for quality, robust engineering and refined design, but above all they share a vision of yachting centered on freedom and exploration. The explorer yachts we build are designed to transform distant horizons into real destinations.”
